Who can help?

The States of Jersey Police

The States of Jersey Police are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help anyone who has been a victim of crime.

We know it is difficult to talk but we will not make you do anything you are uncomfortable with.

If you want to know more about what happens when you report to the police click here or you can call us on 612612 and ask to speak to one of our specially trained Sexual Offence Liaison Officers (SOLOs).

Support Agencies

If you have been the victim of a rape or serious sexual assault and don’t want to contact the Police the following agencies can provide you with care and support.

JAAR

Jersey Action Against Rape are a newly formed charity service which provide counselling and support for victims dealing with trauma of sexual assault.

Victim Support

They are a charity giving free and confidential help to victims of crime, witnesses, their family, friends and anyone else affected by crime. They also speak out as a national voice for victims and witnesses and campaign for change.

Jersey Women’s Refuge

They provide support and guidance on a confidential basis for women suffering all forms of physical and emotional abuse.

Your GP can offer you guidance about your options and who you could talk to. They will also be able to check your medical welfare.
